How much does it cost?

Site development cost depends on the the services, a-la-cart items and custom development necessary to build your site. Our typical client solution averages $25,000 - $30,000. Solutions typically range from $20,000 to $65,000. These prices include design, integration, debugging, testing and launch - all the services necessary to bring a web site from concept to market.

Site monthly support costs depend on the level of support expected by the client. Support could include custom development for new applications and changes to existing applications, content management support, consulting and/or design. We are glad to cater the support program to balance the resources your company already has at it's disposal with the support requirements necessary to fulfill your website performance expectations. Our typical client support program averages $800-$1,200 / month. The typical range is $600 to $2,000 / month.

Is it easy to manage products?

How long does it take to launch a new site?

Site development, from cradle to grave, includes discovery (mapping out requirements, wireframes, etc), design, development, content entry and testing. The time to perform all these tasks varies based on custom development required, our level of participation in each of the aforementioned stages, amount of content entry necessary (are you entering 10 or 10,000 products?). Our typical site launch takes around 3 months from signing of the contract to date of launch. Many clients who have discovery, design completed and don't require any custom development have launched in under 1 month. Heavily customized sites that require integration of many advanced features have taken up to 6 months to launch. One we know what you want to do, we can map out a development time line and detailed schedule so you can keep track of progress on a daily basis if you wish.

Do you provide email deployment?

Our system includes email communication services and also integrated with industry leading, cutting edge email marketing products. Automated emails, such as newsletter registration and order completion, are fully content manageable and controllable. In addition, custom email campaigns can be created, designed, distributed and tracked using our email campaign a-la-cart solution. If you require more specialized services, our system tightly integrated with 3rd party email campaigning and deployment packages, such as MonkeyMail, Paramount, Trigger Email Marketing and more.

Looking at a service not currently supported by our software? No problem - our custom development team can integrate with any package on the market to their specifications.

Will you design our site?

Yes. We provide design services at multiple levels - from basic / slight modifications of our existing site templates to fit your companies branding strategy, to complete custom web site design services from concept to completion. We have the resources to provide everything from simple standard c-nav site designs to fully customized interactive on-line experiences. Let us know what your goals are and we can price and timetable a package specific to you.

Why do most of your sites look similar?

As we recommend, most of our clients use our core template series for their web site implementations. These templates were not arrived at lightly. Every detail of these templates has been heavily researched and tested by industry leading experts and reinforced by the results of our clients' web sites. Even seemingly insignificant elements, such as the layout of our c-navigation, the size of our buttons and the placement of our banner ads has all been tried and tested in many different ways to come to the conclusion that this is the best solution for maximizing web site sales and customer satisfaction.

We don't arbitrarily decide any details of our recommended site model - we have tested and proved that they work.

Whirlwind includes an ongoing service agreement in all of its client proposals. This agreement is customized to balance our clients available internal resources with our service expectations. This basically means that you will not pay for something your company can already provide internally and you will get all/any of the services you wish us to provide to ensure web site performance and support. Weather you want us to provide advanced customized development of new applications, modifications to existing custom applications,  strategy consulting or content management or just be there to support your company while they perform these services internally, we have a support plan for you.

 

Do you integrate with point of sale / call center / order management systems?

Yes. We already have full integration with industry standard systems, such as Dydacomp's Mail Order Manager (MOM). We also provide custom integration solutions to standard 3rd party order management systems as well as custom developed systems. Out technical team is experienced with everything from current SOAP/XML/EDI interfaces to legacy AS400 / Multivalue systems and everything in between.
