The Palm required a fresh design, a host of standard restaurant chain functionality such as reservations, location finder, menus. With a desire to be cutting edge, The Palm wanted to be the first restaurant with a fully integrated loyalty club online, ecommerce and private event management.

Loyalty

The Palm needed a custom API solution to be built between their loyalty program database (Ernex) and the website so visitors could register for the loyalty club, access loyalty club activity / history and even redeem loyalty points for products -- all via their website user account

Ecommerce

The Palm wanted to break ground on some functionality foreign to hospitality websites. Integrating Ecommerce and private events, though unusual for this genre, were not a challenge for Whirlwind using proven components already successfully in place for other Whirlwind clients.

Process

Whirlwind worked directly with Ernex to plan, specify, implement, test, document and launch the first web-based loyalty club API integrated with a customer-facing website. The process of alpha, beta, closed and open group testing and improvements was a challenging road but Whirlwind invited the opportunity to break new ground.
